Mark S. Ditko isn’t a comicbook writer or artist, but is a Civil Engineer running his own global consulting business from Los Angeles, CA. Besides being a world-renown technical author in his field, his “claim to fame” is only by association, as Steve Ditko’s nephew. And as a matter of fact, Steve Ditko had 10 nieces and nephews. Besides growing up with his uncle and seeing him as a family member through the years, Mark corresponded with him starting around 1990, at both a family and philosophical level. Mark, and other relatives of Steve Ditko, are committed to preserving the works and beliefs of a very remarkable comic book artist, character creator, and family member. Our hope is that his memory and his work will live on. Because, after all, a hero never dies.
