Maggie Thompson has written and edited news and articles about comic books and comic strips for more than half a century. Her earliest such work was in 1961, appearing in the pioneering fan publication Comic Art, co-edited with Don Thompson. Other output has included a miscellany of credits, including a four-issue story arc for Innovation’s Dark Shadows series and indexes for Fantagraphics’ newspaper-strip collections of Walt Kelly’s Pogo. After three decades of co-editing the industry publication Comics Buyer’s Guide, she has provided regular contributions to Comic-Con’s Toucan website and to Gemstone Publishing’s Scoop newsletter.
