Frank Santana

Biography

Frank Santana is the Herpetology Collections Manager at the San Diego Natural History Museum. He is a biologist with a passion for conservation and sharing his love of nature with his friends and family. He earned his B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and his M.S. in Biology and in Ecology from San Diego State University. He has done research for the San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research and has taught biology at San Diego City College.

Frank is interested in the conservation, ecology, and taxonomy of reptiles and amphibians. His research work focuses on understanding and protecting endangered frogs. Upon graduating from junior high school his mom bought him a VHS copy of the original Star Wars Trilogy and his life has never been the same.
